Great news from College of Liberal Arts and Science. I am very happy to inform you that the proposal for the Asian Studies major as part of the Department of Near Eastern and Asian Studies has passed smoothly through the Faculty Council yesterday, Thursday Dec. 2, 2004.
You can go ahead and take JPN related courses for your electives (for details you may need to consult ASN coordinator) and language classes if you are interested in majoring in JPN focused ASIAN STUDIES.
Hmm... I knew there was a reason why I was staying at the university for so long... All of my Japanese related credits (64+) better transfer though!
