I enjoyed The Last Samurai. It tries to show an interesting parallel between the USA versus the Native Americans and Japan versus the Samurai. There is a small glimpse of Kyudo being practiced. Then there was fabulous archery scenes from a Japanese Legolas.
After the movie, we went for an eyeliner run because Sensei's crying had smudged her make up. While we were waiting for other students to show up for a tour of the Japanese stores in Novi, we read out of an astrology book what our birthdays meant. All I have to say is that August 16 is a date that was randomly chosen for me. LoL.
After the tour (I have to go back to the bookstore and take a closer look at those CD's), we went back to Cherry Blossoms for dinner and karaoke. I ordered the saba shio. JaydeKitten and Arashi had tonkatsu. The food was delicious!
After stuffing ourselves into a food coma, we moved to the karaoke room. That was so much fun! Some people were hesitant to go up but eventually everyone sang at least once. Of course, after they heard me sing they knew they couldn't do any worse. LoL. Sensei is very good at karaoke. She kept telling us to put in songs and to sing Japanese songs with her. Two of the students kept refilling her beer glass. Tee hee... JaydeKitten, Arashi and I want to take Sensei to Canada for some good time partying. That'll be good times.
Sailormoon is now live action in the form of Pretty Gaurdian Sailormoon. [Looks in nostalgic delight]
